Welcome to Clixly ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your name, email address, profile photo, and any content you generate or upload. We also collect information automatically, such as your device type, operating system, usage data, and interactions with app features.
When you use the AI Avatar feature, you voluntarily upload photos of yourself (including photos containing your face) for the purpose of training a personal AI portrait model.

Clixly uses two third-party AI services to power its features. Before any photo is processed, the app presents a clear in-app disclosure and requires your explicit agreement.
When you tap "Apply" on an effect, the photo you select is transmitted to Google Gemini API (operated by Google LLC) for AI image processing. The photo is used solely to generate the requested effect and is not retained by Google after processing. We do not use your photos to train AI models.
When you use the AI Avatar feature, the selfie photos you upload are transmitted to FAL.ai to train a personal AI portrait model using the FLUX LoRA portrait trainer. The trained model is stored on FAL.ai's infrastructure so that avatar photos can be generated on demand.
Apple's App Store Guidelines require us to provide detailed disclosure about face data handling. This section addresses those requirements.
What face data is collected: When you use the AI Avatar feature (which is optional and requires explicit user initiation), you upload between 5 and 20 selfie photographs containing your face. These photos are used to train a personal AI portrait model.
Purpose of collection: Face data (your selfie photos) is collected solely to train and operate your personal AI avatar model. The model generates stylised portrait images of you on demand. Face data is never used for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than creating your avatar.
Third-party sharing: Your avatar training photos are transmitted to FAL.ai (fal.ai) to perform model training using their FLUX LoRA portrait trainer infrastructure. FAL.ai does not use your data for any purpose other than executing the training job on our behalf.
On-device vs. off-device processing: Avatar model training is performed off-device on FAL.ai's servers. The trained model (a LoRA weights file) is stored on FAL.ai's cloud storage and accessed by our servers when generating avatar images.
Data retention: Your avatar training photos are uploaded to FAL.ai's secure storage for the duration of the training job only. After training completes, the source photos are no longer retained. The trained model weights file is retained on FAL.ai's storage until you delete your avatar. Your avatar and its associated model can be deleted at any time from the Profile tab in the app.
How to delete: You can delete your AI avatar — and all associated model data — at any time by going to Profile → AI Avatars → Delete Avatar. Deletion triggers removal of the model from FAL.ai's storage. If you delete your entire account (Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account), all avatar data is also deleted.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we anonymise your personal data within 30 days. Usage and analytics data may be retained in aggregated, non-identifiable form indefinitely.

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab → Account Settings → Danger Zone → "Delete Account". Deletion anonymises your personal information (name, email, photo) and removes it from your public profile, and triggers deletion of any AI avatar model data. Anonymised records may be retained for fraud prevention and financial record-keeping.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure token storage, and access controls. All data transmitted to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini API and FAL.ai) is sent over encrypted TLS connections. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Clixly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where required, by in-app notification.
